I am retired which gives me time to read and write. The job was which I retired in 2003 was staff horticurist at Woodland Cemtery & Arboretum in Dayton, Ohio. We took an epic driving trip in 2005 which began with modest ambitions - 3 or 4 week - and ended up as four months and 18,500 miles. We started in Chicago (Route 66) and it morphed into a driving trip which saw us 70 miles north of the Arctic Circle in Alaska. It is my thinking that while it might seem boring it provided some tense and downright terrifying experiences. I guess I need to develop it into parts and see how that works. Time will tell.
